Mandate
Formulate rules & regulations, plans and design programs on effective traffic management, systematized and improved traffic situation in the City of Muntinlupa.
Vision
We envision Muntinlupa City as free from traffic congestion and obstruction particularly within the main thoroughfares of its Central Business District(CBD) that will spur multiplier effects to its economic growth and its nearby areas.
Mission
To systematize traffic control and direction through the synchronization of Traffic Engineering, Traffic Education and Traffic Enforcement for fast, efficient and safe land travel.
Strategic Goal
To maintain the efficient flow of traffic within the main thoroughfares of the City of Muntinlupa during peak/rush hours of the day by establishing a systematic backbone through the application of the three E’s or three pillars of Traffic Management, such as:
A. Traffic Engineering - deals with the planning and geometric design of street and traffic control devices to include traffic operation thereon
B. Traffic Education - refers to the teaching and training of drivers, pedestrian, commuters, etc.; to develop them to become courteous, disciplined and competent road users.
C. Traffic Enforcement - includes traffic direction and control, traffic accident Investigation and apprehension, performed by the police and other agencies with authority to include voluntary compliance.
