MUNTINLUPA COMMUNITY UNITES FOR “DENGUE, ‘DI PWEDE!” CLEAN-UP DRIVE

Over 500 volunteers from the Muntinlupa City Government, partner agencies, and private companies converged in a simultaneous cleanup activity under the “Dengue, ‘Di Pwede!” campaign to intensify the fight against dengue in the city.

They collected over 110 sacks of solid waste from streets, canals, and creeks all over the city.

Officials from the City Health Department conducted a lecture before the cleanup activity to provide information on ways to avoid dengue and what to do in case one gets sick.

Volunteers signed up under the Make Your City Proud (MYCP) campaign, a program of the city government that encourages community members to participate in various activities. Once they sign up and volunteer, they can earn points that may be redeemed for products and services from partner merchants.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon emphasized the critical role of community involvement in maintaining a healthy environment. “Engaging the community in these cleanup activities is crucial for safeguarding our families against dengue. Together, we can make Muntinlupa a cleaner and safer place to live,” he said.
